Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Mechanic to join our team. As a Marine Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the mechanical systems of boats and other watercraft. Your expertise will help ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of marine vessels for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems on a variety of marine vessels, including engines, propulsion systems, steering, fuel systems, electrical components, and more.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tune-ups, and inspections to ensure vessels are in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, providing detailed reports on findings and repairs.
- Test and adjust engines, electronics, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and hours worked.
- Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies required for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Communicate with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and costs.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to complete large or complex projects.
- Ensure all safety protocols and environmental regulations are followed during repairs and maintenance work.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, tools, and technology.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in marine mechanics preferred.
- Proven experience as a Marine Mechanic or similar role, with a strong understanding of marine engine systems, electronics, and mechanical components.
- Experience with a variety of engines, including outboard, inboard, and diesel engines, is highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, kneel, and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Marine Systems Technician – Water Systems Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Marine Systems Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of marine water systems. If you have hands-on experience with marine plumbing, pumps, and onboard HVAC systems, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair issues with bilge pumps, sea cocks, freshwater systems, and marine plumbing
Install, service, and troubleshoot marine air conditioning systems and control panels
Replace and maintain water pumps, impellers, and related components
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Ensure all work is completed to industry standards and in a clean, professional manner
Communicate clearly with customers and team members about repair status and recommendations
Maintain tools, equipment, and service records
Qualifications:
Experience working with marine systems (1–3 years preferred)
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of boat plumbing systems and marine HVAC systems
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Strong attention to detail and safety
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
ABYC or manufacturer certifications are a plus, but not required
